The Town Council would like Wokingham Town to be a sustainable community. To that end, we will seek to protect and enhance the town’s natural, built and cultural environments for all current and future residents and to deploy our personnel and financial resources sustainably.

To deliver on our sustainability principle, we have developed a 4 year action plan which focuses on the following areas: Transportation, Water, Energy, Waste, Environment.

Our plan includes direct work as well as work that can best be carried out in partnership with others. Click on a tab to find out about some of the work we are doing around the town.

We are working on projects both large and small to make a difference across our town. You can find details of projects which have reached a major milestone or completion below as well as ideas for more sustainable living.
