As of today 16th August 2021 we plan to resume some in person events for the Book Festival.
Saturday 16th October will be from Wokingham Town Hall and will have limited seating. If we enter a situation where it is not advisable to go ahead with the in person sessions we will switch to digital for all events.
Every child must attend with an adult from their household or support bubble and anyone over the age of 11 should wear a mask (unless they are medically exempt). Each booking will be seated as a group with approx a 1m gap between groups.
Please sit as indicated by the stewards and stay seated during your event. There is a one way system in place through the Town Hall and we request you keep social distance from anyone not in your party. There will be opportunities to access hand sanitiser as well as access to hand washing facilities.
There is a cleaner booked to clean touch points and public areas between sessions. We will be opening windows as much as possible to maintain ventilation however road noise can be a problem in the Town Hall so will be maintaining a balance there between ventilation and you being able to hear the event.
We are currently not anticipating that it will be possible to do the usual book signings.
Should you not feel comfortable attending in person you are able to book to attend Saturday’s sessions digitally similarly to how we are doing the Sunday and how last year worked.
Should you fall ill and no longer be able to attend you can request a refund or switch to a digital only ticket.
Should restrictions change to force us to digital, you will be refunded however if you wish to attend digitally you may need to book a digital pass separately.
Refunds and exchanges will only be available in advance of the event and remain at Wokingham Town Council’s discretion.
Even if there are tickets available they will not be being sold on the door.
Please ensure you read the terms and conditions of entry in detail. These are available below in advance of booking.
Sunday will be our digital only day.
