Portia Mushambi (pen name SP K-Mushambi) is a children’s author and co-founder of NanisoCreate, which publishes the Naniso & Shinga book series and Tairai & the Safari Five picture books. Portia conducts talks and workshops in schools and libraries, and was Author in Residence at KidZania London for three years. She was the winner of the Cultural Promotion ZAA Awards 20023. Her work has been recognised and nominated for the Diverse Book Awards, included in CGP educational books, and brought to life through her Trivhu toy collection and musical collaborations. She believes that literature reflecting our stories, experiences, and images is essential in inspiring self-esteem and a sense of belonging.
