Wokingham in Bloom 2018

The town is entering the regional Thames and Chiltern in Bloom competition after taking a break in 2017. The judges visited on 19th July and were shown around the town by Chairman of Wokingham in Bloom Tony Hewetson.

A whole array of schools, businesses and local organisations took part and our thanks go to Holt Copse Conservation Volunteers, All Saints Church, Wokingham Litter Heroes, Cockpit Community Garden, The Hawthorns Primary School, Gipsy Lane Gardeners, Rose St Residents, Wokingham Hospital, Town and Borough Councils and all volunteers who gave their time to support the entry.

The competition is judged in three main categories:

In previous years (2013 - 2016) Wokingham has achieved a Silver Gilt award and we will find out this years results on Awards Day - 26th September

While we wait, preparations are already under way for 2019 and if you would like to get involved in Wokingham in Bloom please contact the Market and Bloom Officer. You don't need any experience, just enthusiasm and community spirit.
