Faraj Alajeeli is a human rights lawyer who sought asylum in the UK in 2015 after his life was threatened by local militias. He has now settled in Wokingham with his family and continues to support human rights work in Libya from the UK. At the same time he is a accomplished artist and is developing a series of paintings of experience in Libya and his arrival in the UK.
The exhibition gives some interesting insights into the effect of seeking asylum on mental health and wellbeing.
