Local spoken word artist Sarah Smith is Reading Poetry Slam Champion 2018. Performing ‘poetry for people who don’t like poetry’, she weaves comedy, wordplay, warmth, and searing honesty to explore important contemporary themes. This will be the first opportunity to experience her new work in progress, Tracks, which explores issues around mental health and family history, through the intriguing true stories of five related men. Take a journey from 1874 to the present day, which is dramatic, personal and challenging.
