We are recruiting for a Technical Officer

Wokingham Town Council is looking for a versatile and enthusiastic individual with strong IT and administrative skills.

The IT role requires:

  • Experience of supporting Microsoft products in an office environment
  • Network administration skills
  • Web site design experience

The Planning role requires effective meeting skills and a working knowledge of town planning procedures and local planning issues. Training will be given where required.

The successful candidate will have well developed communication, administrative and customer service skills. They will be able to work with a minimum of supervision and often on their own initiative. Attendance at some evening meetings is required.

The post is offered full-time and will be based at the Town Hall in Wokingham town centre.

Salary: £24,964. Benefits include access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
